Owner, builder and designer Marty White envisioned MartyWhite.net while in college at Lander University. His love for architecture and historic southern homes drove his passion to strive for a day when he could create a company whose main objective is To Produce Exceptional Homes with Undeniable Elegance and Exquisite Design. This is the heart fabric of Southern Traditions Builders.
Marty founded Southern Traditions Designs in 1997, after having consecutively managed and operated the residential design divisions of two architectural firms. His exposure to the upper-end housing market thriving in South Carolina opened the doors to his ability to step out into building immediately. As his clients requested his further involvement in the construction process, Southern Traditions Designs was quickly led into the construction side of residential development, by including Project Management as another service. This ultimately led to the development of a two part firm.
In 2004, Marty White Design Group was created in order to separate the professions of design and building, and to allow focus on the booming upper-end residential market thriving throughout South Carolina and on the coast. By taking this important step, Marty and his staff became more efficient, allowing them to provide more attention to these two sides of homebuilding. As a result, Southern Traditions Designs became Southern Traditions Builders in early 2005.
Exploration into publishing house plans on the Web led to the inevitable creation of the e-commerce website, MartyWhite.net. This gateway exposes our ability to provide exceptional skill in the fields of home design and building, and provides a mode of exposure for our stock house plans to the general public, resulting in increased sales and recognition.
